About Me

Hi my name is Artilious. I am a father of three boys and one girl. My family and I move a lot, but we are currently living in Hawaii. Being a father has been one of the most challenging and fulfilling experiences of my life.

Although I majored in Electronic Technology in college, my background in in upgrading, repair, networking and system security services. Like most people, I began with getting A+ certified and then immersed myself into technology from there.

Like many people I am not only into one thing. I like a variety of things for example, I like to exercise but I don’t like to just lift weights or run in place on a treadmill. I like to do things that keep my mind busy while exercising so that I can have fun while working out and I don’t realize how much actual exercise I am doing.

A few other good examples are playing Handball, Jiu Jitsu, Spear Fishing or Hiking. These activities are fun, interesting and take my mind off of the fact that I am actually exercising while doing them. Win win.

The funny thing is, nothing ever prepared me for becoming a father. All of the books and websites I have visited never quite matched up to what really happens day in and day out when you have children.

This is one of the reasons why I decided to blog about my experiences as a father. Hopefully sharing my experiences and tips I have learned along the way will help another person who just entered or has been in the FatherVerse for some time.

By no means do I profess to be an expert in child rearing, or a perfect father. I make mistakes every single day. My father once told me “I can not tell you what to do right or how to do it right, but what I can tell you is how to do it wrong and what I did wrong.”

For me, these words of wisdom have helped me along the way. I hope that in sharing my mistakes, it may come of some assistance do you and you can avoid repeating the same mistakes that I have made or perhaps find the humor that I have found in the overall experience.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope that you come across something useful or interesting during your stay. If you have any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions please feel free to reach out to me via the comment box below.
